RCBO Type A, AC OR Single pole Replacement

DESCRIPTION:

✓   RCBO Type A, AC OR Single pole Replacement

Rapid electrical disconnection is made possible by the residual current device (RCD) or residual current circuit breaker (RCCB), preventing protracted and potentially dangerous shocks. An RCBO, or residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection, is an RCD device that also includes overcurrent protection.

Protection from earth fault currents, overloads, and short circuit currents is the main goal of RCBOs. It is advised that an RCBO be connected to each individual circuit so that a problem with one won't impair the operation of the others. For the protection of persons and equipment in the event that the current becomes imbalanced, such devices enable the circuit to be disconnected. They can only be used in conjunction with other overcurrent protection mechanisms that have rated short-circuit capacities.

A set of standards is provided that details the design and testing criteria for RCBOs: IEC/EN 61009: Residual current circuit-breakers for residential use and comparable applications (RCBO).
